2. What this website collects

This is a static website. Its current build contains no advertising network, analytics script, tracking pixel, account system or background form submission.

The support form validates and structures information on your device. Useful Foundry receives nothing from it unless you choose to send the prepared email through your own email service.

The hosting and security provider may process ordinary technical request information, such as an IP address, browser details, requested page, time and security signals, to deliver and protect the website.

3. Information we may receive

• Support and enquiries: your name, email address, company, enquiry type, message and later correspondence.
• Product delivery and orders: contact, product, transaction and delivery information made available by Payhip. This website does not receive your full payment-card details.
• Technical and security information: limited hosting, delivery and abuse-prevention records where available and necessary.
• Information you choose to provide: files or details you deliberately include in correspondence. Please do not send passwords, payment-card details, API keys, private keys or other secrets.

4. Why we use information

We use personal information to provide or deliver a requested product, respond to support and business enquiries, keep order and accounting records, protect the service, investigate problems and establish or defend legal rights.

Depending on the situation, the lawful basis is taking steps at your request or performing a contract, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting a small digital-product business, compliance with a legal obligation, or consent where we specifically ask for it.

We do not use support or order information for unrelated automated decision-making. We do not sell personal information. We will not add you to marketing messages merely because you asked for support or obtained a product.

5. Service providers and sharing

We use service providers only where needed to operate the current service:

• Cloudflare for website hosting, delivery and security.
• Fastmail for the support mailbox and email processing.
• Payhip for product checkout and digital-file delivery.

Those providers process information under their own published terms and privacy information and, where applicable, on our behalf. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, courts, regulators or law-enforcement bodies where reasonably necessary or legally required.

Some providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on the provider's applicable transfer mechanism and contractual protections. Contact us if you need current details for a particular provider.

6. How long we keep information

• Support and general enquiry correspondence is normally retained for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction.
• Order, payment and accounting records may be retained for six years after the end of the relevant company financial year, or longer where law requires it.
• Security, complaint or dispute records may be kept for as long as reasonably required to investigate, resolve or establish legal rights.

We may delete information earlier when it is no longer needed and no legal, security or operational reason requires retention.

7. Your data-protection rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to particular processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Your right to object: you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will consider the circumstances and stop unless there is a compelling lawful reason to continue.

The current static build contains no analytics, advertising or third-party tracking scripts and does not intentionally set non-essential cookies. The hosting provider may use strictly necessary technical or security mechanisms when serving the site.

Useful Foundry does not make solely automated decisions through this website that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

9. Local product data

Scope Control products are designed to store working data locally in your browser on your own device. Information that remains only in the local product is not received by Useful Foundry. You control any export, backup, deletion or deliberate sharing of that local data.
